FaZe beat dignitas in Bucharest

The last match of the first round ended with FaZe beating dignitas, 16-11, on Dust2, taking a spot in the winners match against Cloud9. The losers match will then feature dignitas facing-off against FlipSid3 to stay alive in Bucharest.
FaZe started out on the right foot with Håvard "rain" Nygaard skewing the balance towards his team’s side with three kills and locking down the pistol round. With a 3-0 scoreline, it would be Aleksi "allu" Jalli’s turn to show up with two back-to-back three kill rounds giving the European team some room to breathe.
Dignitas were finally able to stop FaZe after planting on A and stopping FaZe’s retake on the eighth round. allu made another appearance however, getting the first two opening frags while Philip "aizy" Aistrup closed the round with three kills of his own.
The Danish team tried to rush B twice in a row, after the first time proved successful, but three quick frags from Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey ended Dignitas’s dreams. The European side finally went into the half with a 13-2 and the wind in their sails.
allu put up a wall on the CT side
The second pistol round—a vital one for the Danes—did eventually go Dignitas’s way. With the first three rounds of the half in the bag, Dignitas needed the round if the beginning of a comeback was to happen. In a match full of big individual plays, it was René "cajunb" Borg’s turn to put up a multi-kill round, with four scalps under his belt including a 1vs2 clutch.
FaZe would turn it around the following round, however, winning two rounds and getting themselves on match point. Slowly but surely, Dignitas started to make a game of it, winning the crucial rounds and putting FaZe on the financial backfoot all the way to being within five rounds of the European combine, 15-10.
After FaZe called for a timeout, it was still the Danish side holding the match’s momentum, keeping the wall up and tallying one more round. However, in an uncommon fashion FaZe closed it out on an eco round with a final score of 16-11.
