Immortals to last

Immortals are through to the semi-finals at DreamHack ZOWIE Open Summer after defeating SK Gaming in a three-map match (6-16 on Cobblestone, 16-9 on Overpass and 16-8 on Train).
Group A's decider match featured an intercontinental battle for survival as SK and Immortals faced off for a spot in the last-four stage of the $100,000 tournament.
Cobblestone kicked off the series, and here Immortals got off to a great start as they stormed to a 3-0 lead. However, SK were simply far too hot to handle when it came to gun play as they gave up just three rounds to the Brazilians to secure a 9-6 half-time lead.
The second half was a complete blowout, with SK hitting seven rounds without response to end the map 16-6.
The map that followed was Overpass, which was almost the polar opposite as Immortals got out to a comfortable 10-5 lead after playing on the Terrorist side. The Brazilians picked up where they left off in the second half and secured four rounds in a row to get withing touching distance of map point.
Immortals through to the semi-finals
SK then adjusted their offense and got four consecutive rounds, but Immortals fired back in an eco round, with Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles getting three P250 kills in quick succession. The following round would also go to the Brazilians, who closed the map 16-9 to level up the series.
It all came down to Train, the same map where Immortals had been defeated by SK during the opening day of DreamHack Summer. This time around, however, the Brazilians gave a much better account of themselves and cruised to a 12-3 lead after giving SK very little room to operate.
In the second half, SK still attempted to get back into the game, but Immortals held on to their impressive lead and locked down the map 16-8.
